Support
If something is broken, confusing, or wrong, write to hello@renoir.info. A human reads it.
It helps to say which iPhone you are on, what you were doing, and what happened instead. A screenshot is worth more than a description.
Signing in
Signing in is one emailed code. There is no password, so there is nothing to reset — if you are ever locked out, the code flow is the way back in. If the mail does not arrive, check the spam folder before writing in; it is where it usually is.
An account is optional. Everything in Renoir works without one, and nothing is held back until you sign in. What an account buys is that the films you keep follow you to another device.
Deleting your account
In Profile, behind the poster. It asks twice, and then the account and everything synced to it are removed from the server. The films kept on this device stay on the device.
Images that will not load
The catalogue is inside the app, but posters and stills are fetched from TMDB as you look at them. With no connection the films, credits, search and connections all still work — the imagery is the part that goes missing.
Motion
Renoir follows the system's Reduce Motion setting throughout, and Settings carries its own motion control as well. Turning motion off does not slow anything down; it puts everything in its final position on the first frame.
Something is wrong in the catalogue
Film and person data come from TMDB, and a wrong year or a missing credit usually starts there. Write in anyway — tell us the film and what is wrong with it.
Privacy and terms
The privacy policy sets out exactly what leaves the device and when. The terms are the rest.
